Hydroponics is divided into two main categories:
Water Culture (hydroponics) and Solid Media Culture.
Water Culture
This system, also known as hydroponics, is a water-
based method of cultivation in which all the nutrients
the plant needs are brought to the plant roots
completely through water without the need for soil.
The hydroponic system is divided into Aeroponics,
Stagnant Water Culture, Flowing Water Culture and
Aquaponics.
Hydroponics can be
practiced not only in
rural but also in urban
areas. In fact, according
to research, each
settlement will be able
to produce its own food
to increase the security
of food access.
Solid Media Culture
It is the most widely used soilless agriculture method.
The nutrient solutions needed by the plant for the
development of plant roots are brought together with
the plant in structures such as pots, bags, packages,
ready-made blocks and beds.
Solid media culture can be done by 3 different
methods: Bed Culture, Pot, Bag or Package Culture
and Ready Block Culture.
Considering how fast the world’s population is growing
and unfortunately, from the misuse of agricultural
land to labor costs, we will see that soilless agriculture
is becoming more and more important every day.
Although soilless agriculture is not currently the most Hydroponic agriculture
widely used method in agriculture around the world, greenhouses enable
it is certain to become an indispensable part of our agriculture without
lives in the future with the rapidly changing climate being affected by natural
and R&D studies. Of course, we should not forget disasters by providing full
control of the nutrient rate
that artificial intelligence and developing technology and climate required by the
can also offer us new methods that we cannot even plant.
